This document provides an overview of the different characteristics of the students enrolled in higher education institutions supported by the Advance Program. As a key component of Advance, the Program sought to strengthen student and career services to support students in their academic trajectories. Advance recognized the importance of understanding that each student had a different background and a variety of different needs. The program learned that in some instances, customized approaches were needed to help students complete their academic programs, while developing critical life and employability skills. This document provides a few examples of student profiles.
